Discover the beauty and inspiration of magnolias through a poetic and performative lens in the Asian Garden with Dr. Celeste Snowber. UBC Botanical Garden is a magical place in early spring, in large part because of its extensive conservation collection of flowering Magnolias. Enjoy a blend of art and ecology in this creative Garden performance. Their unique collection of plants and Celeste’s enthralling interpretation of our majestic botanical beauties are sure to delight and encourage resilience.

About Celeste: Celeste Snowber, PhD, is a dancer, poet/writer and award-winning educator who is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. Celeste had the privilege of being the Artist in Residence in the UBC Botanical Garden for two years and she continues to create site-specific performances in the natural world that explore the connections between ecology and the arts.
